March 2008: Sustainable Energy Awards 2008
Sustainable Energy Awards 2008
Sustainable Energy Ireland is now accepting nominations for the 2008 Sustainable Energy Awards. Now in their fifth year, the awards are intended to encourage, recognise and reward excellence in energy management in the industrial, commercial and public sectors and attract entries from a diverse array of organisations.
The awards provide an excellent opportunity for organisations and individuals to get public recognition for their efforts in reducing energy costs and emissions. The winners will receive their trophies at a black tie gala ceremony in Dublin on 20th November.
In 2007, 100 participating companies demonstrated energy savings in excess of €23 million and participation is expected to grow in 2008, as more and more businesses become involved in energy saving actions.
ESB Customer Supply is once again sponsoring the competition and is pleased to be involved as part of its commitment to encouraging energy efficiency in business.
