Green Awards 2008 winners announced!
Business in the Community Ireland would like to congratulate our member companies Abbott, Irish Life & Permanent, KPMG and Tesco Ireland for their success at the recent Green Awards 2008.Over 300 companies, organisations and communities entered the inaugural Green Awards this year. All the winners were unveiled at a glittering gala dinner in the Burlington Hotel on 4th December 2008.
The awards ceremony was also a Carbon Neutral event.
The judging panel were: Tomás Sercovich, Senior CSR Consultant, Business in the Community Ireland; Gerry McCaughey, Founder, Century Homes; Michael Sanfey, Head of Sales & Marketing with Greenstar; Duncan Stewart; Gerard O'Neill, Amárach Group; Louise Dunne, Environmental Policy Expert; and Heidi Bedell, External Consultant.
Business in the Community Ireland member Independent Newspapers (Ireland) Limited were main sponsors and the Irish Independent sponsored The Green Communications Award. Other BITCI members sponsoring awards included Dell who sponsored The Green Leader Award, Vodafone who sponsored The Green Transport Initiative Award and Tesco Ireland who sponsored The Green School/College Award.
