Business in the Community Ireland holds third annual National Corporate Responsibility Week (October 12th-16th)
National Corporate Responsibility Week is a unique initative led by Business in the Community Ireland and its member companies. The week-long series of events aims to highlight key issues on CR practice and how they affect business as well as showcasing best practices from
our member companies
This will be the third year of the awareness campaign and this year's theme will focus around Rebuilding Ireland's Corporate Reputation.

PUBLIC EXHIBITION - THE FACE OF CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY IN IRELAND-OCTOBER 12TH-16TH

Corporate Responsibility initiatives work effectively in a company when employees are actively engaged and understand the importance of ethical and responsible business practices. Therefore we are delighted to hold Ireland's first ever public exhibition on corporate responsibility (opens from Wednesday Oct 7th to Friday 16th). This photo exhibition will showcase employees from each of our member companies who epitomise corporate responsibility in their day to day roles. The participating members in the exhibition are Abbott, ACC Bank, Boots, CPL, CRH, Diageo, eircom, ESB, Glanbia, IBM, Intel, Janssen, Irish Life & Permanent, KPMG, Manpower, Marks & Spencer, Microsoft, National Irish Bank, Oracle, Pfizer, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Sodexo, Ulster Bank, Vodafone and Wyeth. MONDAY OCTOBER 12TH - CR MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATIONS DAY
Launch - Online searchable database of Best Practice in Corporate Responsibility.
We will be launching our database of ‘Inspiring Excellence' - a collection of over 200 best practice examples in corporate responsibility. In addition, we will be premiering three new videos showcasing sustainable corporate responsibility in our members Eircom, ESB and Pfizer.
TUESDAY OCTOBER 13TH - WORKPLACE DAY
Seminar-Managing and Motivating Employees in Difficult Times'

EPIC Programme Graduation Event

Our EPIC programme assists immigrants to gain employment or further training and education. Minister Curran will present the latest 100 EPIC graduates with their certificate of completion at this special event on Workplace Day.

Our Members' CR Weeks
Each year some of our members get involved in our National Corporate Responsibility Week by undertaking their own activities themed around the areas of workplace, marketplace, community, environment and CR management and communications. We are delighted that this year a record number of our members are engaging and running a number of activities both internally and externally during the week. These include Abbott, AOL, BT, Cara Partners, Hibernian Aviva, IBM, Intel, KPMG, Meteor, Sodexo and Ulster Bank, We wish all of our members the best of luck with their own CR Week activities.

OUR SOCIAL INCLUSION PROGRAMMES
Business in the Community Ireland in addition to its work on advising members on corporate responsibility also run a number of innovative social inclusion programmes focusing on education and employment.
