The BITCI CR Week (October 15th - 19th) will be dedicated to highlighting key issues and exemplars on various aspects of CR in Ireland through a series of events to take place each day of the week in the areas of community, workplace, marketplace, environment and corporate responsibility communications. A week of activities will coincide with the publicaton of the 4th volume of Best Practice case studies of CSR in ireland entitled Inspiring Excellence 2007, this year with 51 examples from 27 member companies.

The fifth annual President's Awards for Corporate Social Responsibility will take place in the Burlington Hotel on the 26th of September. The 2007 awards is a partnership of Chambers Ireland with Business in the Community Ireland (BITCI) and is in association with the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs.

This BITC organized conference offered business executives the opportunity to learn about the challenges faced by leading Irish, British and European companies when integrating social, environmental and stakeholder concerns into their business strategy and operations and equally explores the recent successes which have been achieved. Almost 50 companies presented 68 solutions to 350 delegates on the day.
